Farmville Volunteer Fire Department is not a government agency — it's a commitment made by the people who live, work, and raise families in this community. Our firefighters are your neighbors: farmers, teachers, mechanics, and shop owners who answer the call not for a paycheck, but because someone has to be there.
Stationed at 7649 US Highway 280 W in Auburn, we serve a broad stretch of eastern Lee County, from residential neighborhoods to rural farmland. Every call we take, every safety inspection we complete, and every training session we run is made possible by the dedication of our volunteer members and the support of the communities we protect.
We never clock out. Day or night, every season — our team is on standby to respond to any emergency.
Regular drills, certification courses, and joint exercises keep our volunteers prepared for the full range of emergency scenarios.
Prevention matters as much as response. We invest heavily in education programs that keep fires from starting in the first place.
Whether you have a few hours a week to spare or simply want to ensure your community has the resources it needs, there's a place for you at Farmville VFD. We accept volunteer applications year-round and welcome donations that directly fund equipment upgrades and training.
